How does the very nature of human language lead to suffering? How can a person commit to living a vital and more meaningful life right now, in spite of emotional or physical pain barriers?
This 3-Day introduction course will be intentionally experiential – in other words participants will be invited to experience ACT by trying it out on- and for - themselves. In the workshop we will explore a question that is at the heart of ACT. The question is embodied in the six ACT core-processes described in what we call the Hexa-flex.
In this very moment, (present moment)
Will you (self-as-context)
Accept the sweet and the sad, (acceptance)
Holding lightly stories about what is possible, (defusion)
Be the author of a valued pattern of living, (values)
And turn gently, in kindness, toward your own life? (commitment)
